# Amending a Delivery

There may be cases where a delivery needs to be updated so more accurate details are provided to complete the booking — for example, updating the delivery type, customer information, or pickup information.

Only users with certain permissions can edit a delivery. If you don't have permissions but need to edit an order, contact your Account Manager or Rendr's Support team. Deliveries can only be updated **prior to booking**.

## How to Edit a Delivery

On the Rendr portal, the Delivery, Collection, Products, and Parcels components each have an edit icon. Select it to show the editable fields.

#### Edit delivery details

Delivery From, Delivery To, and Customer Details can be edited from the Delivery component. Select **Confirm Changes** to save your updates.

#### Edit product details

Product Name, SKU, Quantity, and Price can all be updated. Additional products can be added, and existing products can be removed. Select **Confirm Changes** to save.

#### Edit parcel details

Parcel Type, Quantity, Width, Height, Length, and Weight can all be updated. Select **Confirm Changes** to save.

Additional parcel quantity, weight, or dimensions may incur a greater delivery fee than originally quoted.

#### Add special delivery requirements (optional)

Additional requirements can be added prior to booking, including ID Check, Tailgate, Proof of Age, and other instructions.

#### Edit collection time and delivery type

Select the edit icon on the Collection component to change the order's ready-for-collection time. Once updated, select **Show delivery options** to get a new quote based on the new collection time, then select your preferred delivery method and continue to the confirmation step.

#### Confirm the updates

Once fields have been updated, a new quote must be requested and confirmed, as changes may be cheaper or more expensive than the original quote.
